Drive Reliability in your Cooling Towers

• Confirm your controller set points are still appropriate for current loads and weather.

• Verify pumps are running as expected and suction/foot valves are clear.

• Conduct basic field tests such as conductivity, pH, and inhibitor/biocide residuals as applicable.

• Look for early warning signs like unusual drift, foaming, odour, or visible deposits on wetted surfaces.

Test Closed Loop Systems to Promote Longevity

Closed and chilled water systems can experience corrosion and performance loss if chemistry drifts. If your loop contains glycol, periodic testing is especially important as plain glycols aren't designed to protect HVAC metals long-term.

• Confirm glycol concentration matches your operating needs.

• Check inhibitor condition and pH.

• Watch for signs of contamination or breakdown (unexpected pH shift, solids, or frequent top-ups).

• Use quality make-up water (distilled, deionized, or RO where appropriate) to support fluid stability.

• Document results so you can spot trends early.
